The WCSLA is pleased to announce its
2010-2011 Workshop Series. Our workshop series will continue to
include three all day presentations to facilitate our members’ needs
for ongoing professional growth. We would like to extend an
invitation to all previous members, Speech-Language Pathologists,
Special Educators, and other interested persons to join us in these
great opportunities for interaction and shared learning experiences. |
WCSLA
and the approved sponsor, MSHA, present our
2010 - 2011 Workshop Series.
THIS YEAR, ALL 3 WORKSHOPS WILL BE HELD AT WARD
CHURCH.
Ward is located at 40000 Six Mile Road, Northville, 48168. The main
entrance is located off of Six Mile Road, just west of Haggerty. It is
behind the big shopping center on the corner of Six and Haggerty.
Alternatively, you can access the church from 2 entrances on Cross Road
which runs directly behind the shopping center and connects Six Mile to
Haggerty.
Please see
maps for directions.

for all workshops is 7 days prior to workshop date UNLESS the workshop
fills before that date.

In addition to ASHA CEUs (all workshops), we also offer State Board CEUs.
Please remember to bring a $10 processing fee if interested and be
sure to sign in at the beginning of the workshop and out at the end. You
must attend the entire workshop to
receive CEU credit.
Please Note: Use of ASHA account numbers to track CE
Registry users and information
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the ASHA
Continuing Education Board (CEB) recognize the increased concern for
individual privacy and the risk of identity theft to our members. In the
past, the Social Security Number (SSN) was routinely requested to help
identify and match ASHA members with their records. However, we are
eliminating the collection of the SSN except where required by law (e.g.,
income tax reporting).
In support of this policy, the CE Registry will no longer use the SSN
as the identification number for CE Registry accounts. ASHA account
numbers will now be used exclusively as a means of
identification for our Registry users. (Any individual who is not an ASHA
member will be assigned an ASHA account number for interaction with the CE
Registry). CE Registry forms that previously used the SSN have been
revised to only ask for the ASHA account number. Effective January 1,
2010, CE Participant forms that previously used the SSN will no longer be
accepted.
We urge all CE Registry users to carry their account numbers with them
to use when completing the CE Registry Participant form. We ask that you
fill in the required information, including your ASHA number completely
and legibly. If you do not have your ASHA account number while filling out
a form, you may call ASHA’s Action Center during normal business hours
(M-F, 8:30-5:00pm EST) to obtain your number.
Kind Regards,
ASHA Continuing Education |
